This beautiful 220 convertible A was first delivered to its owner in the USA in 1951. The color combination dark green with beige leather and dark green top already looked very elegant. This convertible A is number 84 prduced and one of only 1278 ever built.
In 1998, the 220 was then imported to Germany and the owner had fully restored body and interior in the highest quality frame-off. Afterwards he drove the car regularly and also visited many classic car meetings. The car won e.g. in Ludwigsburg the Concours d Élegance as a class winner. In 2010, the car was acquired by the current owner, who had the complete technology restored by Kienle for 55,000. Since then, the car has driven only about 1,700 kilometers and is in top condition. It’s a pleasure to move the 220s. The technology runs silky soft and visually the vehicle convinces all along the line.
